Most residential quotes include about a week. That fits a bathroom gut, a garage cleanout, or a short roofing job. If demolition is a single hard day, ask for a short window — some haulers price 1–3 day rentals that cost less than a lingering week.
Longer holds make sense for phased renos where debris trickles out room by room. Past two weeks, you are often better on a flat extended rate or a planned swap than on daily overage.
Idle bins are expensive real estate on a small driveway and invite illegal dumping in urban areas. Schedule delivery for the morning work starts and pickup for the day the last load goes in.
